FAQ

  • How long does the course take?

Around six weeks is the average time of completion for participants. However, some move through it more slowly and others more quickly. There is no “ideal” time but we would recommend you complete within a maximum of 12 weeks to maintain continuity and maximize impact of the material.

  • How do I pace myself in this course

Everyone paces themselves differently so there is no right or wrong way to do this. There are 10 Chapters, each containing several lessons. Some you will move through more quickly than others. As you move through the course allow yourself to get a sense of when the content/material just needs to “sit with you” for a while before moving on. Sometimes the work may create an emotional response in you that, again, you'll want to process/just be with before you move forward. Generally, you will want to allow anywhere from 4-8 hours/week.

  • Can I go back in when I am finished?

You can return to the course whenever you choose. You can repeat the entire course or just review a chapter or module. Shadow work is a lifelong practice so we encourage course graduates to keep using the materials and keep being part of the community online via our Community Forum and the monthly online live Q&A sessions.

  • What if I have a question along the way?

There are two opportunities to ask specific questions. Firstly and more immediately, go to our Community Forum and post your question. You can expect a response within two working days. Secondly we run regular live Q&A sessions on Zoom where we would love to meet you, answer any questions and generally explore this material further.

  • What sort of impact could I expect?

Participants who have completed, report a range of impacts from the course; these include: greater levels of self awareness, greater self-acceptance and feeling “better” about themselves, showing up in ways that feel more real and true to themselves, more understanding and tolerance around other people leading to calmer and more enjoyable relationships with others, a more buoyant outlook on life etc.

  • Is this about me at work or at home?

This is about you, the human being. As the old adage says: “Wherever you go, there you are”. This work will benefit you and your relationships with others wherever you may be.

  • What if I am not a leader?

As in the above question, shadow work is for human beings. EVERYONE benefits from understanding and practising shadow work. Shadow work does make us better leaders but also better mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, work mates etc.

  • Can I do it as part of a group?

You can choose to embark on the course independently or as part of a group. Either way, please be aware that the course requires you to reflect upon you, the individual, so much of the work requires an individual focus but, of course, can be discussed more broadly within a group. NB: If you are interested in doing this along with a small group please contact [email protected] Note: Rates and timings vary depending on whether this is a workplace group or a group of individuals that have approached this course independently.

  • Will this course have an emotional impact on me?

If you work diligently through the programme it will have an emotional impact on you in some way. Another way to consider it is that it will “light you up” emotionally. Human beings are meant to FEEL emotions as they are a fundamental requirement for being more present or attuned to ourselves. So, yes, you may feel a range of emotions but this is a healthy process because you are choosing to focus on material that places a greater level of conscious awareness on YOU.
